Being close to our Firestar guitar, we love having multiple sounds at hand, seated in a well positioned visual and ergonomically comfortable layout. All three Lollar Thunderbird pickups give you a broad spectrum of sounds, even the ones unheard until now. The mixture of these classic bass HBs with a bolt on neck construction reminds of bass concept thinkers like John Entwistle or Mike Watt and their unqiue custom creations.

A bass should make a bass sound – this was the reason for its concept: adding a spectrum of deep and growling sounds to well known bolt on bass concepts for a wider range of bass tones. The additional passive piezo disc, a concept which is a regular standard in the Firestar guitar, really gives a very distinctive, almost upright bass sound, especially in combination with the neck pickup on its own.

Strings are going through a yellow poplar body, ran over brass saddles and an unbleached bone nut, being held by Hipshot Ultralite Lollypops. The angled reversed headstock keeps strings aligned and cares for a very solid low E-string. Piezo disc and multiple switching options are the players creative field. An additional feature, which has been inquired by customers in the recent past, is our new vandal resistant kill switch. This lets you interupt the entire sound at all switching positions, but also cuts only the regular pickups versus the piezo, giving another unique feature of expressive sound textures. Explore new, passive bass sounds with it! Enjoy!
